FGW-Conformity

The seal of conformity

Independent testing laboratories and inspection bodies can demonstrate the quality of their work and their cooperation with the FGW guidelines by displaying a seal of conformity. For this purpose, the seal is placed under the test report (or extract from the test report).

The following is an example of the design of a conformity seal for the power curve test area

All seals are linked to requirements for active committee participation, so that seal holders are not only informed about the contents of the guidelines, but also about the development and background of the respective regulations. Necessary changes to the regulations and the associated systemic tasks can thus be recognized and resolved in good time.

In principle, expert opinions in accordance with FGW test regulations can be carried out by anyone. As some of the testing procedures have become highly significant in terms of the scope of the test and investment decisions, accreditations have been made mandatory in some cases, either by the state or on the basis of a state authorization. FGW itself does not require accreditation in its own Technical Guidelines, but has made accreditation a condition for the seal of conformity for some test methods (TG 1, 2 and 3).

Test laboratories wishing to use the seal of conformity must fulfill the requirements listed below.

Requirements

Requirements TG 1 and TG 2

Requirements TG 3

Requirements TG 9 (soon)

The following table is intended to help identify independent test laboratories specializing in FGW test procedures that meet the conditions for FGW conformity and inspection bodies. The maximum period of validity of FGW conformity is assigned to each test laboratory for the corresponding test area.
In general, institutions accredited according to FGW test regulations can be found via the search pages of the accreditors (Elac, DAkkS, etc.), e.g. here for the DAkkS.
